Salary Increase Upon Promotion. A. A promotion is defined as movement of an employee from a job classification to another job classification with a higher salary range. (Acting appointments are not considered promotions.) B. Upon promotion, an employee’s monthly salary shall be adjusted to either: 1. The minimum monthly salary of the salary range of the classification to which the employee has been promoted; or 2. A salary that is 5% greater than the employees’ current monthly salary not to exceed the maximum salary range for the new classification.
