Common use of Salary of Superintendents/Supervisors Clause in Contracts

Salary of Superintendents/Supervisors. After an employee has successfully completed one (1) year of City service as a bona fide superintendent/supervisor, such employee shall be paid at a rate at least five percent (5%) higher than the rate of his/her highest paid subordinate, except in cases where a subordinate may be paid at a rate above the range for his/her position, in which case the higher rate of the range for the position of the subordinate shall be considered the rate of the subordinate.
