Supervisory Personnel. All supervisors and foremen shall be excluded from the bargaining unit and will not perform any work which falls within the scope of this Agreement. When supervisors and foremen are appointed, a notice to that effect will be posted and maintained on a bulletin board.
Supervisory Personnel. 16.01 Supervisory employees outside the bargaining unit shall not normally perform work regularly performed by the employees in the bargaining unit except:
(a) for the purpose of training supervisory personnel the Company may place employees on production work for limited but sufficient periods without the employee so placed coming under the jurisdiction of the Agreement;
(b) for emergencies (including situations in which no qualified bargaining unit employees are immediately available), for the instruction and training of employees, experimental work, or in connection with the breakdown or installation or relocation of machinery and the restriction shall not apply to those maintenance, material control and quality control functions performed by supervisors for supervisory purposes.
Supervisory Personnel. Supervisory employees shall not perform work normally assigned to Union employees covered by this Agreement. The limitation shall not apply, however, in cases to correct an immediate situation or in the case of the training or instruction of employees involving less than one-half (½) hour of work. Such training and instruction shall include a review of work assignments and diagnostic activities as needed, but shall not be implemented as a pretense for performing bargaining unit work. Supervisors shall not perform bargaining unit work if any employees in their division are on layoff unless there is an emergency which requires such work.
Supervisory Personnel. The Company will supply to the Union a list of all supervisory personnel whose duties are mainly supervisory but who may occasionally relieve an employee in the bargaining unit for a short period in emergency situations, or to train or demonstrate.
Supervisory Personnel. Supervisory personnel of the Employer shall be restricted from per- forming the work which is recognized as the work of the employees covered by this Agreement except as otherwise provided in Article 9 of the National Master Agreement.
Supervisory Personnel. It is the policy of the Employer that supervisory employees (excluding the Environmental Center manager) shall not perform work in any job classification of this bargaining unit; however, in emergency situations (unusual circumstances over which the Employer has no control) supervisory employees may be required to perform work within specific job classifications. Additionally, the testing of materials, instruction or training of employees and the diagnosis of problems will involve supervisory employees.
Supervisory Personnel. The CITY shall arrange and provide information to supervisory personnel regarding drug testing procedures, the consequences of testing positive under this Article, the effects of drug and alcohol abuse, and how to determine whether an employee is using, consuming or under the influence of drugs or alcohol during working time within ninety (90) calendar days after the effective date of this Agreement and at least annually thereafter.
Supervisory Personnel. 10.01 The Board shall indicate for all supervisory appointments:
(i) a job description; and
(ii) any requirement to be met to fill the vacancy.
10.02 The appointment of supervisory personnel shall be the sole responsibility of the Board subject to the terms of the Collective Agreement.
Supervisory Personnel. At no time will any employee with supervisory authority be permit- xxx to perform any work covered by this Agreement. However, where no local cartage employees are on the property, a supervisor can load an unscheduled customer pickup on an occasion- al and incidental basis. It is understood that this provision is intended to apply only to unanticipated situations taking less than thirty (30) minutes. The Company shall not intentionally schedule such pickups for times when the local cartage employees are not available. The Union recognizes that subject only to the express provisions of this Agreement, the supervision, management and control of the Employer’s business is exclusively the function of the Employer.
