Salary – Permanent Transfer to A New Classification. When an employee is promoted, he/she shall be paid the hourly rate next higher to his/her own within the pay grade for the classification to which he/she was promoted. If the next higher rate is less than four percent (4%) above the employee’s current hourly rate, the employee shall be placed at the next higher step that provides at least a four percent (4%) increase.
