Common use of Salary Rate Upon Recall or Demotion Clause in Contracts

Salary Rate Upon Recall or Demotion. (a) Employees recalled to their former position or to a position in the same job group shall receive the current rate for job group as set out in Appendix A of this Agreement. (b) Employees recalled who accept a position in a lower job group than their former position shall be paid at the salary rate for that group as set out in Appendix A of this Agreement. (c) An employee who transfers to a position in a lower job group for reasons ascribable to the employee shall be paid in accordance with Article 23.1 above.

Salary Rate Upon Recall or Demotion. (a) Employees recalled to their former position or to a position in the same job group of equal salary shall receive the current rate for the job group as set out in Appendix A of this Agreement. (b) Employees recalled who accept a position in a lower job group lower-paid classification than their former position shall be paid at the salary rate for that group job as set out in Appendix A of this Agreement. (c) An employee who transfers to a position in a lower job group classification for reasons ascribable to the employee shall be paid in accordance with Article 23.1 Clause 24.5(b) above.
