Salary Step Placement upon Employment. An experienced teacher shall receive full credit on the salary schedule for the first ten years of public school teaching experience. Half-time (.50 FTE or more) regular contract teaching experience will be figured cumulatively in arriving at proper step placement. When there is a shortage of qualified candidates for a specific position, additional step credit for verified experience beyond ten years may be allowed by the Human Resources office.

  • Salary Rate Upon Employment The hiring rate of pay for a new employee shall not be higher than the rate of pay for an existing employee in the same classification with similar work experience, training and education.
