Common use of Salary Upon Reclassification Clause in Contracts

Salary Upon Reclassification. When an employee's position is reclassified to a higher salary range and/or grade level; the employee will be placed on the new salary range at the step which is at least four percent (4%) greater than their current salary retroactive to the date the request is submitted to Human Resources. In no event shall the new salary be higher than the top step of the new classification. Upon reclassification, if a frozen or red-circled employee’s current salary is above the maximum of the new grade, the employee will receive a 2.0% increase in salary, retroactive to the date the reclassification request was submitted to Human Resources.
