Scheduling Vacation. Vacations may be taken in broken periods but normally at least two weeks of the year's entitlement must be taken as a continuous period. Employees shall select their vacation periods in order of seniority as defined in this Agreement. However, only one vacation period shall be selected by seniority until all employees in the signing group have selected one period. Subsequently, all employees in the signing group who have chosen to take their vacation in broken periods shall select in order of seniority for a second vacation period and again for subsequent periods until all periods are chosen. Vacation periods shall not conflict with essential departmental requirements.
