Common use of School Safety Clause in Contracts

School Safety. “Pursuant to 2005 Public Acts 129-131 and 138, all employees shall self-report to the District and the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) when arraigned/charged and/or convicted with certain identified crimes. Within three (3) business days of the arraignment, the employee must report the arraignment/charge and/or conviction to the Superintendent, or the employee may be found guilty of an additional crime. The reportable crimes are listed online with the Michigan Department of Education and in Appendix D. A copy of the “Arrangement Disclosure Form” follows Appendix C.
