Scope of FFA. This FFA is to ensure that environmental impacts associated with past AEC activities at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant are thoroughly investigated and appropriate remedial action taken, as necessary, to protect the public health, welfare and the environment. The FFA covers response actions at 7 areas: • Line 1 • Firing Site Area • West Burn Pads Area (South of the Road) • Warehouse 3-01 • Yard G • Yard C • Yard L, areas surrounding Warehouses L-1, L-2, and L-3 The above sites are outlined in red on the attached map. At Line 1, Firing Site, West Burn Pads (Area South of the Road), Warehouse 3-01, and Yards G, C, and L, FUSRAP shall respond to all releases and threats of releases of hazardous substances, pollutants or contaminants, except for groundwater and surface water contamination, which will be addressed under the IAAAP/Army FFA.
