Season Opening. The garden will open for the season on March 1, 2024 (weather permitting). Cultivation and planting must be started by April 15, 2024. Any existing garden member that does not register by March 1, 2024 will forfeit their plot and it will be offered to the waiting list. Plots that have not been planted by May 30th will be forfeited and offered to the waiting list unless prior approval is granted. Plots must be tended through the time of fall clean up which will be completed no later then November 17, 2024. Please refer to the section Violation of Membership Rules. This will be STRICTLY ENFORCED.

Season Opening. The garden will open to the gardeners on March 1 of each year as long as access to park is permitted by LT DPW. Cultivation and planting must be started by June 1st and plots must be tended throughout the time of fall clean-up which will be completed no later than November 15th except for winter gardening. Gardeners should plan on spending at least four hours per week on plot maintenance in order to cultivate a productive and attractive garden plot. Parking: Please walk to the garden or park in designated parking areas along the street or the adjacent Senior Center Facility.
Season Opening. The Community Garden will open for planting on Saturday, 5/4/24 @ 9am. Cultivation and planting must be started on or before Saturday, 6/1/24. If crops have not been planted by then, the garden bed will be forfeited and made available to another resident or organization. Garden beds must be tended throughout the planting season. There will be a mandatory fall clean-up day scheduled for Saturday, 10/5/24 @ 9am. Gardeners should plan on spending at minimum two to four hours per week on garden maintenance. Gardeners will need to supply their own stakes and cages should their plantings require them. Harvesting: Crops must be harvested once they are mature. Leaving the mature crops to rot will not be permitted and all ripened crops will be picked and donated to a food pantry. Weeding: Maintenance of garden beds includes WEEDING. All weeds, rocks and other similar waste are to be disposed of in the designated receptacles or taken off site. Use of Fertilizers and Pesticides: For the health and safety of all participants, only organic methods and products are to be used in the Community Garden – all others are prohibited. Gardener Absences: Kindly notify Xxxx Xxxxxxxx if you will be unable to maintain your garden bed for a period of time (i.e.: vacation or illness) or should you want to rescind your garden bed. The Green Team will maintain a list of garden members that will volunteer their time to maintain your garden bed during your absence.
