Section 8.5.2. Adoptive/Xxxxxx Leave. 2 For employees not qualifying for FMLA, up to thirty (30) days non-paid leave shall be granted 3 to the employee who adopts a child or has a xxxxxx child placed with them. The employee shall 4 submit a written request to the Superintendent/designee. The District shall be notified when the 5 adoption/xxxxxx proceedings have begun, and the leave shall begin at a natural break in the 6 school year or on a mutually agreed upon date. The exact date of the employee’s return will be 7 determined in consultation with the Superintendent and the employee’s immediate supervisor.
