Selection Grievances. The time limit for initiating a grievance shall commence on the working day immediately following the date the Union receives written notification of the results of the job competition, as per Article 12.03.02, and shall end after 5 working days. 12.05.01 An employee who has applied on a posting and may be absent from work at the time the selection decision is communicated, shall be responsible for advising the Union of their potential interest in grieving the selection, in the event that such employee is unsuccessful. The Union will advise the Human Resources Branch that such notice has been received and a mutually agreed extension of time limits will be put into place.
