Selection of Academic Employees. It is the intention of the Board of Trustees that academic employees be selected on the basis of their qualifications, through a process which assures accountability to the College for services rendered and which conforms to adopted equal opportunity employment and affirmative action policies. Hiring committees for all faculty positions will consider cultural capital throughout the process to prioritize highly qualified and systemically non-dominant faculty (e.g. faculty of color) whose cultural capital is needed or sought after by the College, by including components in the application process such as:
