Selection of Employees. (a) You must ensure that: (i) Your employees are selected using an open and merit based selection process where reasonable; (ii) You retain detailed records of Your selection and recruitment processes; and (b) where requested by Us, You give Us access to Your records relating to the selection and recruitment of employees.

The Committee shall review all applications, prepare a short list which shall normally contain the names of three candidates, interview the short-listed candidates, and recommend to the designated supervisor the candidates for appointment in order of preference. (e) When a new instructor is required for a program in which there are no existing employees, the two employee representatives on a selection committee shall be selected from related programs by the designated supervisor. (f) The Chair of a selection committee shall normally be the designated supervisor (or designate). The designated supervisor (or designate) may relinquish the Chair of the Selection Committee by appointing the Department Chair to chair the Committee. If the designated supervisor (or designate) is absent, the Department Chair shall chair the Committee. In selections without Department Chairs, the designated supervisor (or designate) shall appoint a selection committee chair. (g) Applicants from within the bargaining unit with 1302 hours and who retain seniority rights per Article 20 shall be granted an interview for any regular position within the employee’s department that the employee applies for provided the employee possesses the required qualification, education and experience for the position and the employee is assessed satisfactory on his or her most recent evaluation. Selection of Employees. Selection of employees for bargaining-unit positions and out of title assignments within and outside this unit shall take into consideration seniority, performance, career progression potential and the relative qualifications of the applicants. For purposes of this section, seniority shall be understood as the length of an employee’s continuous service with the New Jersey Judiciary. Nothing contained herein shall adversely affect the provisions of any valid Affirmative Action Plan.

Selection of Employees. Informal details are those which do not exceed thirty (30) calendar days. The Employer shall submit a memorandum to the employee documenting the duties of any detail in excess of two (2) weeks. A copy shall be forwarded to the Personnel Office for inclusion in the employee's Official Personnel Folder. Formal details shall be documented in the Official Personnel File by memorandum and appropriate supporting attachments. Special projects which exceed thirty (30) calendar days shall be documented in the employee's Official Personnel File by memorandum.

Selection of Employees. The Company shall select its employees from among the P Chem Employees and the C Chem Employees based upon their skills and experience, without regard to the severance obligations that might be due to them if they are not selected.
