Common use of Semester Clause in Contracts

Semester. At each University, “semester” shall, in the case of the first semester or “fall semester” of any academic year, mean the period commencing on the first day of the academic year and ending on the last day preceding the commencement of the second semester of such year, and shall, in the case of the second semester or “spring semester” of any academic year, mean the period commencing on the day appointed by the applicable academic calendar for such purpose and ending on the last day of the academic year.
