For purposes of bidding, the nurse will be deemed to have the status and seniority he or she had before being converted to Per Diem for a period of 90 days from the date that the nurse was converted to Per Diem status.

Qualified nurses internal nurse applicants who apply using the Hospital’s current 14 application 32 process system to change units, shifts, or hours will be given preference hired in order 33 of 15 seniority when vacancies occur, first among all full-full- and part-time nurses 1 16 within the unit, then among staff nurses in the Specialty Nurse Residency 17 program (unless Specialty Nurse Resident was an ONA represented 18 employee before residency, in which case seniority applies), then among 19 Per Diem applicants within the unit, then 2 among all full- and part-time 20 nurses house-wide; and next among Per 3 Diem applicants house-wide. 22 A nurse applicant who is awarded a new position will be moved to 23 the position within six (6) weeks after the award, unless doing so 24 would pose a threat to health or safety. In the latter situation the 25 relevant managers and the employee will negotiate a mutually 26 agreeable start date.
5 28 2. A nurse who wishes to change shifts, move to another nursing service 6 29 department, or change status (i.e., part-time, full-time, or Per Diem) shall 7 30 make his/her hertheir wish known using the Hospital’s current application process 31 system for each job vacancy the nurse desires. Hospital will post weekly 1 a list of all job vacancies to be filled with budgeted hours for each position 2 to include unit, shift, and hours per day.

If a nurse’s status is converted to Per Diem because the nurse has no 5 protected leave and the nurse’s PLH and Legacy EIH banks have been 6 exhausted, for purposes of bidding rights for vacant positions as described 7 in B.1 and B.2 above, the nurse will be deemed to have the status and 8 seniority he or shethe nurse had before the nurse’s status was converted 9 to Per Diem. For purposes of bidding, the individual designated by nurse will be deemed to have 10 the Chief Clinical Officerstatus and seniority he or shethe nurse had before being converted to 11 Per Diem for a period of 90 days from the date that the nurse was 12 converted to Per Diem status.
14 4. Nurses who have received a written warning or above in the previous six 15 months, who shall retain 9 such requests for subsequent consideration when an opening occursnot be eligible to change units, shifts or hours.
