Common use of Seniority Status Outside the Bargaining Unit Clause in Contracts

Seniority Status Outside the Bargaining Unit. A Bargaining Unit employee who is promoted or transferred to a position outside the Bargaining Unit will continue to accumulate seniority for a period of ninety (90) days following the date of his promotion or transfer. Should the employee remain in a Non- Bargaining Unit position beyond the ninety (90) day period, he will lose all seniority accumulated under the contract.
