Common use of Seniority Unit Vacancies Clause in Contracts

Seniority Unit Vacancies. For a period of ninety (90) calendar days after an employee has been permanently laid off from State service, the employee may apply for vacant positions in an equal or lower classification in their former seniority unit and if they qualify for the position, the employee's name shall be considered on the basis of State Seniority in the manner provided in Article 12, Section 7E5.
