Vacation Donation Program. Employees shall be able to donate accrued vacation leave for the use of employees who have exhausted their sick leave as permitted by Minnesota Statutes Chapter 43A.1815. An employee may donate up to forty (40) hours of accrued vacation leave each fiscal year to the sick leave account of one or more state employees.

Vacation Donation Program. Nurses shall be able to donate accrued vacation leave for the use of employees who have exhausted their sick leave as permitted by Minnesota Statute 43A.1815.
Vacation Donation Program. (a) This program has been established to allow employees to donate accrued vacation hours to eligible employees in need. The purpose of this program is to provide a means by which the eligible employee may obtain authorized paid time off. Employees eligible for the program must: 1. Be a Regular or Part-Time Regular employee already having completed an initial probationary period; 2. Have a verifiable long-term illness or injury (non-work related). For this program, long term is defined as no less than four (4) weeks in duration. It is the employee’s responsibility to complete and return a Request for Donation form to the Personnel Department and attach to it a letter from a licensed physician certifying that the employee has a long-term illness or disabling injury of at least a four-week duration; 3. Not be eligible for long-term disability insurance benefits; 4. Have exhausted all accrued leaves, including advanced sick leave benefits, resulting in the employee being in an unpaid status if on approved leave; 5. Have requested and exhausted a sick leave advance. 6. Have the concurrence of the Department Director and Personnel Director. (b) Once an employee is determined eligible, a posting will be distributed and use of the donated hours will start as soon as possible. (c) When utilizing the donation program, recipients shall receive their normal regular rate of pay, as if being on paid leave status. The benefit shall be payable on regularly scheduled pay days. A minimum of twenty (20) hours per week must be utilized when there are available balances. As with paid leave status, recipients shall continue to be eligible to participate in the group health and welfare related benefits provided by the City.
Vacation Donation Program. State Benefitted Employees shall be able to donate accrued vacation leave for the use of other state benefitted employees whohave exhausted their sick leave as permitted by Minnesota Statutes Chapter 43A.1815. An employee may donate up to forty (40) hours of accrued vacation leave each fiscal year to the sick leave account of one or more State employees. If the statutorily defined limit changes during the term of the contract, the statutorily defined limit shall prevail. Vacation donation by County Benefitted Employees is subject to County policy.

Vacation Donation Program. Employees shall be able to donate accrued vacation leave for the use of employees who have exhausted their sick leave due to a critical illness situation or for the use of employees who must be absent from work due to a natural disaster. An employee may donate up to twelve (12) hours of accrued vacation leave each fiscal year to the vacation leave account of one or more bargaining unit employees.

Vacation Donation Program. JSA may conduct a vacation donation program whereby eligible employees may donate accrued vacation to employees that have exhausted all their accrued vacation and sick leave. Employees may receive donated vacation only in circumstances where they will experience a substantial loss of income and only for situations of a serious medical condition of the employee or an eligible family member that requires the employee’s care. Eligible family members include related persons living in the household of the Employee, spouse, child, parent or stepparent, sibling, or grandparent.

  • Sick Leave Donation 10.3.1 A worker may donate days of sick leave to individual District workers who, due to a serious health condition, have exhausted all accumulated sick leave. Donating workers must retain a sixty (60) day balance of sick leave after their donation. No worker may receive more than 40 days of donated leave per year. 10.3.1.1 A “serious health condition” is defined as an illness, injury, impairment or physical or mental condition which involves inpatient care in a hospital, hospice, or residential health care facility, or continuing treatment or continuing supervision by a health care provider as defined in 29 USC 825.114(a) and as certified by a worker’s physician or other qualified medical practitioner. 10.3.1.2 The Vice Chancellor of Human Resources and the Chief Stewards by mutual agreement will verify the certification for eligibility. If the certification from the worker’s physician is insufficient, a certification by a physician of the District’s choosing may be required, at District expense. The District may require additional medical opinions. 10.3.2 Donated leave must be in one-day increments (no less than 8 hours). Recipients of donated sick leave shall be solely responsible for any state and federal taxes on the donated time. Such taxes shall be withheld at the normal rate for the recipient worker. In the event that the state or federal governments rule that tax liability is due other than as taxed, the recipient shall be solely liable for such liabilities. 10.3.2.1 The donated sick leave may be used only when the worker has exhausted accumulated sick leave and either is not eligible for long- term disability or is eligible but has not begun to receive the long-term coverage. 10.3.2.2 The Vice Chancellor of Human Resources shall be notified of solicitation of donations. Solicitations of donations may be made by the individual or his/her representative(s). 10.3.2.3 Donation of sick leave shall be authorized by a signed pledge form prepared by and filed with the District Office of Human Resources. In the event several workers donate sick leave, the sick leave shall be used in the order in which the signed pledge forms are filed with Human Resources. 10.3.2.4 If the worker does not use all donated sick leave, the sick leave shall be returned to the donating worker(s).

  • Transition Plan In the event of termination by the LHIN pursuant to this section, the LHIN and the HSP will develop a Transition Plan. The HSP agrees that it will take all actions, and provide all information, required by the LHIN to facilitate the transition of the HSP’s clients.
