Filling Vacancies. In the filling of vacancies, new positions, transfers or promotions, appointments shall be made to the employee with the required qualifications, and level of competency and efficiency as required by the position specifications, and where such requirements are equal, seniority shall be the determining factor.
Filling Vacancies. (a) FRNP will fill internal vacancies within classifications via group seniority within that classification first before Recall and then Job Bid.
(b) FRNP shall fill vacancies for positions in the following order:
(1) Recall:
A. Those qualified USW Local 550 represented employees in the same classification as the vacancy exist that were involuntarily laid off who accepted a position in a lower class in order of seniority.
B. Those qualified USW Local 550 represented employees in the same job classification as the vacancy exist on the recall list that were involuntarily laid off from FFS, LSRS or FRNP, at Paducah in order of seniority
C. Those qualified USW Local 550 represented employees in classifications other than the one the vacancy exists in on the recall who were laid off from FRNP at Paducah in order of bargaining unit seniority.
D. Those qualified USW Local 550 represented employees laid off or notified of a layoff at Paducah by USEC and other DOE contractors or subcontractors at Paducah in order of bargaining unit seniority
E. Those qualified USW represented employees laid off at Portsmouth who apply for the vacancy, and who are covered under Section 3161 of the FY 93 Defense Authorization Act.
F. Those qualified employees who were former employees of any other DOE contractor or subcontractor at other Department of Energy facilities and who are covered under Section 3161 of the FY 93 Defense Authorization Act
(2) Job Bid: FRNP will post vacancies in classifications covered by this Agreement to provide job bid opportunity.
A. Positions will be posted a minimum of ten (10) calendar days.
B. The job bid opportunity is limited to employees of FRNP, at Paducah.
C. Job bids will be awarded to the most senior qualified bidder from within a lower job classification.
D. An employee selected to fill a new job or vacancy will be given reasonable time, not more than thirty (30) days, with proper instructions, to learn the specific tasks required on the job before final decision is made of his potential to perform the full scope of the job adequately.
E. If it is evident before the end of the thirty (30) day period that he is not capable or does not possess the potential of handling or performing the full scope of the new job adequately, he shall be entitled to return to his former job with his former status.
(c) Prior to filling vacancies, FRNP shall consult with the USW Local 550 concerning the availability of employees on the USEC, LATA, or LATA subcontract...
Filling Vacancies. Where it is the opinion of the Employer that:
(a) a vacancy can be filled from within, and
(b) two or more applicants are qualified, and
(c) those applicants are of equal merit, preference in filling that vacancy shall be given to the applicant with the greatest length of service.
Filling Vacancies. 1. Hardship transfer applicants shall be interviewed by the principal or his/her designee at the locations requested, provided the applicant is certified to fill the available vacancy.
2. Consideration for vacancies shall first be given to those employees who have submitted a request for transfer, pursuant to the other provisions of this Section, provided the applicant is qualified, eligible, and available to fill the position.
3. The principal will notify, in writing, all applicants who have been interviewed as to the disposition of the vacancy for which they were interviewed.

Whenever a vacancy occurs, the remaining members shall notify the Regional Superintendent of Schools of that vacancy within five days after its occurrence and shall fill the vacancy until the next regular board election, at which election a successor shall be elected to serve the remainder of the unexpired term. However, if the vacancy occurs with less than 868 days remaining in the term or less than 88 days before the next regularly scheduled election, the person so appointed shall serve the remainder of the unexpired term, and no election to fill the vacancy shall be held. Members appointed by the remaining members of the Board to fill vacancies shall meet any residential requirements as specified in the School Code. The Board shall fill the vacancy within 60 days after it occurred by a public vote at a meeting of the Board. If the school board fails to act within 60 days after the vacancy occurs, the Regional Superintendent, under whose supervision and control the district is operating, must fill the vacancy within 30 days. Immediately following a vacancy on the Board, the Board will publicize it and accept résumés from District residents who are interested in filling the vacancy. After reviewing the applications, the Board may invite the prospective candidates for personal interviews to be conducted during duly scheduled closed meetings. Filling Vacancies. A. Annual Initial Bid Meeting: Prior to the beginning of each school year all run/routes shall be open for bidding. Prior to the conclusion of each school year each Employee shall be notified of the August bid meeting date. On the day prior to the scheduled bid meeting date, all runs/routes shall be available for viewing at the transportation office by the Employees. On the bid meeting day, each Employee shall select, in the order of seniority, with the greatest seniority having the first opportunity to bid their assignment for the ensuing year. Employees shall not select runs that are scheduled on a daily basis, which exceed eight (8) hours per day without the permission of the Supervisor. The least senior driver(s) shall not bid on only a secondary run or an elementary run if it causes the District to hire another driver. Any Employee who is unable to attend the bid meeting shall be responsible for giving to the Association representative, his/her proxy bid which shall include his/her first three (3) choices. If none of his/her proxy choices are available, or if no proxy has been received, then the Employee shall be assigned a run/route as close as possible to their prior year's assignment by the Supervisor. Employees shall be limited to thirty (30) minutes for their selection of their run/route. If the Employee does not make his/her selection within the allotted time allowed, then the Supervisor will assign their run/route for the year. Those present at the bid meeting shall be paid Seven Dollars and 65/100 ($7.65) for their participation in the bid process. This pay for participation in the bid meeting shall be increased by the same percent as Wage Schedule A.
B. Filling vacancies during the school year.
1. Employees who are granted a short term leave of absence of up to thirty (30) work days shall have their runs/routes filled by the most senior driver available without a run/route in that time slot. If an unusual circumstance occurs, the timeline may be extended. The parties must mutually agree to extend the timeline. This will not require the run/route to be bid. If the timeline is not extended by mutual Agreement, the run/route will be bid after the 30th work day of the leave of absence.
2. If an Employee has a previously scheduled appointment, this shall not interrupt his/her right to continue on the same run/route. Once awarded a temporary run/route, that driver will not be eligible to fill another until he/she has completed that temporary run/ro...

The Employer will make all reasonable efforts to place the successful employee in the position within thirty (30) days of the posted start date.
Filling Vacancies. All vacancies in the classified service shall be filled first by reemployment, second from an appropriate eligibility list if available. Otherwise temporary appointments may be made in accordance with subsection (f) below.
Filling Vacancies. The following factors shall receive consideration when filling posted vacancies: qualifications, required knowledge, education, skills. When these factors are equal among applicants for the vacancy, an existing employee having the greatest seniority of years of service shall receive preference. All determinations of qualifications, experience, skill and ability shall be made by the Employer.

Teacher applicants in the District 31 assigned to a grade level or subject area outside the scope of their teaching certification shall be 32 given first consideration for openings within the subject or field of their certification.
