Common use of Service Letters Clause in Contracts

Service Letters. (a) Employees discharged or leaving the service of their own accord, after giving notice, shall be paid any wages due them with a little delay as possible and shall, upon request, be furnished with the usual certificate of service. If detained more than ten (10) days waiting such certificate, they will be paid schedule wages for all time in excess of ten (10) days. Unless otherwise requested, this certificate will be mailed to the employee’s last known address.
