Sewage Plant Chlorination System Scope. In order to ensure compliance to SANS 10298:2009, the scope of work shall include the following: Design a portable Chlorine dosing system suited for the application required at Camden’s Sewage Plant, complete with, but not limited to: • A customised container suitable for the storage of Chlorine gas, partitioned from roof to floor into 2 compartments to enable the separate storage of empty and full cylinders. The container must be designed to store the entire Chlorine dosing system and approximately 3 x 70kg cylinders per side. The container should have a ramp at the entrance to enable delivery or removal of Chlorine cylinders • Auto vacuum change over regulators with a maximum capacity of 2kg/hr with cylinder empty/full status indicator • System to be fitted with a flowrate controller 0 – 2kg/hr • System to be fitted with a free Chlorine analyser and a standard injector. The injector should be automated and controlled based on the free Chlorine analysis of the dosed stream • Gas monitoring system including a sensor and cable • Audible siren and flashing light for gas leak alarm (must be visible from distance of 500m) • Chlorine safety equipment box complete with: Chlorine cylinder spanner, full face gas mask with a spare canister, safety goggles, acid resistant PVC suit and a pair of acid resistant boots • Fitted with UPVC pipework, terminating with union ends just outside booth. NB. The Contractor will be responsible for all pipework required for the new dosing systems and for the tie-in to the existing plant • A foot operated safety shower with an eyewash bowl. NB. The Contractor will be responsible for all necessary pipework required for the potable water supply to the shower • All signage, labels and necessary emergency procedures • A scrubber for the safe removal of Chlorine gas from the storage container in the event of a gas leak • A cylinder trolley for the offloading of Chlorine cylinders • A calibrated platform scale with LED display • Extractor fan, Electrical DB box complete with sufficient lights and 1 x light switch and MCC (Motor Control Centre) for control logic between electronic modules. MCC should be able to operate extractor fan based on door position and leak detection. Contractor to assess current power supply available at respective 380V boards and determine if modifications are required and implement as such with approval from Employer • A control panel for all equipment installed inside the Chlorine storage container • Installatio...

  • Potable Water Contractor shall provide potable water and ice for the Stage 2 Site use, and ensure that a safe and plentiful supply of potable water and ice is available for all activities on the Stage 2 Site until Substantial Completion of Subproject 3. The water and ice for human consumption shall be of suitable quality.
