Common use of Shift Break and Duration Clause in Contracts

Shift Break and Duration. There shall be a full nine (9) hours break between shifts when shift periods are changed. In the event an employee is assigned a shift change without the required nine (9) hour break between the regular working hours of the shifts, he shall be paid at the rate of two (2) times his regular rate of pay for the entire shift worked after the deficient break.
