SHOP XXXXXXX. The Shop Xxxxxxx On all jobs where journeymen plumbers are employed, the Business Manager or his duly designated agent shall appoint a shop xxxxxxx and, at the time of such appointment, give the Employer written notice of such appointment of a shop xxxxxxx or successor. There shall be no restrictions as to the amount of work such shop xxxxxxx shall perform nor shall his duties as xxxxxxx interfere with his work unreasonably. However, a County employee as selected by shop xxxxxxx shall have the Unionright, during working time and with no loss of pay, to spend reasonable time adjusting grievances including time to meet with Employees and supervisors, after notifying his immediate supervisor of his intent. SHOP XXXXXXX. 1. The Executive Secretary-Treasurer or his designee having jurisdiction over the job, will select a certified Shop Xxxxxxx. A Shop Xxxxxxx shall always be employed whenever covered work is being performed on any job, except at the end of the job when punch list work is being performed by one employee which does not exceed three (3) days. The xxxxxxx’x employment may be terminated by the Employer after review of complaint against him between the employer and the Business Representative. In the event of a disagreement between the Business Representative and the employer, the complaint shall be referred to the Executive Secretary-Treasurer or his designee for whatever internal actions considered appropriate. A Shop Xxxxxxx can be appointed from an employer’s regular complement of employees, with the consent of the Union, providing he has the appropriate training certifications from the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters’ shop xxxxxxx certification program and who otherwise meets all of the Union’s requirements for appointment as a shop xxxxxxx. Should the Union have due cause to replace the shop xxxxxxx, they will notify the employer, defining the reasons for said replacement. 2. The Shop Xxxxxxx must 1) report to the Local Union prior to the start of the job to pick up the appropriate paperwork and instructions; 2) fill out the appropriate paperwork; and 3) deliver the appropriate completed reports to the Local Union hall after the end of the workday on Friday of each week. The Shop Xxxxxxx shall only take the necessary time to perform his duties to the best interests and safety of the covered employees. SHOP XXXXXXX. 1. No member of the Union will remain on any job where the following rules do not apply: a. Advance notice of termination of employment given to the shop xxxxxxx shall also be forwarded to the trade union branch which elected him or her. The above advance notice provisions do not, however, apply in cases where the Employer is legally entitled to terminate employment without advance notice. 13. If necessary, the shop xxxxxxx shall be exempted from work in order to at- tend to his or her duties. Such exemption shall be granted immediately in cases requiring urgent attention. 14. If the shop xxxxxxx attends to the duties agreed on with the Employer outside regular working hours, he or she shall be paid additional work compensation for the time so used, or receive other agreed-upon additional compensation. 15. The shop xxxxxxx is entitled to participate in training courses organised by the Finnish Musicians’ Union and those jointly approved by PALTA annually. The Employer shall pay the shop xxxxxxx attending the training a monthly salary for the duration of the training and reimburse accommodation and travel expenses in accordance with the Travel Annex to the Collective Agree- ment. 16. Where possible, the Opera and Ballet shall make permanent and appropriate facilities available to the shop xxxxxxx for the storage of documents and of- fice supplies necessary for the performance of his or her duties. 17. All negotiation procedures shall be governed by the provisions of this Collec- tive Agreement. 18. The Opera and Ballet shall pay the shop xxxxxxx compensation for telephone calls during the performance year as agreed locally. 19. The Opera and Ballet will make reasonable efforts to control pay the shop xxxxxxx compensation for time and loss of income in the amount of investigative time spent between EUR 597.82 as of 1 May 2023 and EUR 615.75 as of 1 June 2024. If the amount of public funding received by the Opera and Ballet is essentially reduced or if there are material changes in the form of funding or if the overall financial position of the Opera and Ballet is materially eroded and the Employer is, for the above-mentioned reasons, heading for financial difficulties likely to lead to a decrease in the use of labour in the field of activity under this Agreement, the applicability of the provisions of the Collective Agreement will be re-assessed un- der the changed circumstances. SHOP XXXXXXX. Section 1: The UNION may select two (2) employees of the EMPLOYER to act as Shop Stewards and each one will have one hour every two weeks to take care of UNION business. SHOP XXXXXXX. 14.1 The Union shall have the right to appoint two (2) Chief Shop Stewards in each store whose duties shall be to report any irregularities to the Union. Shop Stewards shall report all irregularities to the Store Manager prior to reporting same to the Union. In stores with more than 120 employees, the Union shall have the right to appoint two (2) Assistant Stewards. 14.2 Chief Shop Stewards may not be transferred from store or job assignment without written consent of the Union, except in cases of promotion. The Chief Shop Stewards shall have super-seniority among all other employees for the purpose of layoff and recall only in their store. SHOP XXXXXXX. On all jobs where Journeymen Steamfitters are employed, the LOCAL UNION shall have the right to select and designate a Shop Xxxxxxx from among the Journeymen Steamfitters of the LOCAL UNION on the job, whether referred or otherwise. SHOP XXXXXXX. Section 1. The Executive Secretary-Treasurer or his designee having jurisdiction over the job, will select a certified Xxxxxxx from the employees of the Employer working on the job, who shall thereafter be employed whenever covered work is being performed on the job, except at the end of the job when punch list work is being performed by one employee which does not exceed three (3) days. The shop xxxxxxx shall be granted given the required information and necessary latitude of action for attending to his/her duties. SHOP XXXXXXX. 1. The Executive Secretary-Treasurer or his designee having jurisdiction over the job, will select a certified Shop Xxxxxxx. A Shop Xxxxxxx shall always be employed whenever covered work is being performed on any job, except at the end of the job when punch list work is being performed by one employee which does not exceed three (3) days. The xxxxxxx’x employment may be terminated by the Employer after review of complaint against him between the employer and the Business Representative. In the event of a disagreement between the Business Representative and the employer, the complaint shall be referred to the Executive Secretary-Treasurer or his designee for whatever internal actions considered appropriate. The employer may request a Shop Xxxxxxx be appointed from the employer’s regular complement of employees, with the consent of the Union, providing he has the appropriate training certifications from the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters’(EASRC) shop xxxxxxx certification program and who otherwise meets all of the Union’s requirements for appointment as a shop xxxxxxx. Consent shall not unreasonably be withheld, particularly on smaller projects. In the event the Union appoints a shop xxxxxxx from an employer’s regular compliment of employees and that xxxxxxx fails to fulfill his duties, he will be immediately removed from the position and replaced by the Union. 2. SHOP XXXXXXX. ‌ 13.01 The union may select or appoint Shop Stewards to represent the employees and the union shall notify the employer as to the name of each Shop Xxxxxxx. The employer agrees that no Shop Xxxxxxx shall suffer any discrimination by reason of holding such office. 13.02 When the employer for any reason finds it necessary to terminate a Shop Xxxxxxx, the union shall be notified in writing of such termination. 13.03 The Shop Xxxxxxx shall be given time off with pay to investigate complaints of an urgent nature or a County grievance, to meet with management for the purpose of dealing with grievances, and to attend meetings called by management. SHOP XXXXXXX. 14.1 The Union shall have the right to appoint two (2) Chief Shop Stewards in each store whose duties shall be to report any irregularities to the Union. In no instance shall the Shop Xxxxxxx be discriminated against for discharging such duties, provided such duties do not unreasonably interfere with the regular performance of their work for the Employer. Shop Stewards shall report all irregularities to the Store Manager prior to reporting same to the Union. In stores with more than 120 employees, the Union shall have the right to appoint two (2) Assistant Stewards. 14.2 Chief Shop Stewards may not be transferred from store or job assignment without written consent of the Union, except in cases of promotion. The Chief Shop Stewards shall have superseniority among all other employees for the purpose of layoff and recall only in their store. Further, the Shop Stewards shall not be threatened, coerced or intimidated for performing Union activities. 14.3 In the interest of promoting cooperative relations, the store manager shall introduce each new employee in his store to the Union Shop Xxxxxxx within one (1) week after the new employee reports to work. The Shop Xxxxxxx Discussions on the need for a shop xxxxxxx and the details of the local process of getting in contact and negotiating shall be held first between the company’s management and the senior salaried employees’ representatives. The need to appoint a County employee as selected shop xxxxxxx shall be assessed together with the company’s management, giving especial consideration to the company’s size, organisation and the nature of its operations.
