SHOP XXXXXXX. Section 1 9.01 The Company recognizes Employer acknowledges the right of the Union to designate appoint or otherwise elect a reasonable number of Stewards, one (l) of which would be the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx to assist employees in presenting their grievances to the representatives. There will be no more than one xxxxxxx per department / food and beverage outlet as outlined in Scheduled A, plus one (1) alternate xxxxxxx from additional Shop Xxxxxxx in the Company's seniority listdepartment the Union chooses. In the Housekeeping Department there will be a maximum of two Shop Stewards.
Section 2 9.02 The authority Union will inform the Employer in writing of the xxxxxxx identity of the Stewards and alternate xxxxxxx the Employer shall not be obliged to recognize such personnel until it has been so designated informed.
9.03 The Union acknowledges that Stewards, members of committees and Union Officers have regular duties to perform on behalf of the Employer, and that such persons will not leave their regular duties without obtaining permission of their Department Head, and will give any reasonable explanation which may be requested with respect to their absence. In the event that the Department Head is absent he/she will appoint an alternative person to act on their behalf.
9.04 Where a Shop Xxxxxxx, Union Committee member or Union Official employed by the Union Employer is temporarily absent with permission, as aforesaid, he/she shall be limited to and receive his/her regular straight time rate of pay during such period of absence, provided that the Employer shall not exceed the following duties and activities: The investigation and presentation of grievances with the Company be obliged to make any payment for time spent by a Xxxxxxx, Committee member or the designated Company representative Union Official outside his/her regular working hours.
9.05 Union Stewards appointed in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement; Collective Agreement and The transmission of such messages and information which shall originate with, and are authorized by, the Union or its Officers provided such messages and information: Have been reduced to writing; or If not reduced to writing, are of a routine nature and do not involve work stoppages, slowdowns, refusals to handle goods, or any other interference with the Company's business. When requested by the Union or employee, the Company shall allow the presence of a xxxxxxx or alternate xxxxxxx whenever the Company meets with a Driver concerning grievance(shaving at least one (1) or discipline or during an investigative interview, which could lead to discipline. In such case, the meeting year seniority shall not be continued until laid off because of lack of work except where all employees in their department have been laid off and so long as they have the xxxxxxx or alternate xxxxxxx is present, unless the employee rejects skill and ability to perform any work available in writing the presence of the xxxxxxx or alternate xxxxxxxtheir respective departments.

SHOP XXXXXXX. Section 1 1: The Company recognizes the right Union may select two (2) employees of the Employer to act as Shop Xxxxxxx and each one will have one hour every two weeks to take care of Union business. This time will be administrated at the Shop Xxxxxxx'x discretion and he will be required to designate one clock in and out when conducting Union business. SHOP XXXXXXX. Section 1 n The Company recognizes Union shall have the right to appoint two (2) chief stewards, one full time and one part time, to represent their respective bargaini units covered under the terms of this collective agreement. SHOP XXXXXXX. Section 1 The Company recognizes the right 1. No member of the Union will remain on any job where the following rules do not apply:
a. The Union Business Agent shall appoint one or more Stewards to designate one cover the Employer’s operation and notify the Employer in writing of such appointment.
b. In no case shall a Xxxxxxx suffer discrimination because of the performance of his Union duties.
c. The Xxxxxxx shall be allowed a reasonable amount of time when necessary to perform the following duties:
(l1) Handle grievances on the job or in the shop in accordance with the area agreement in effect, and to report all such grievances to the Union.
(2) Check safety, cleanliness, sanitation, heat, lighting, etc., regularly and report any unsafe or unclean conditions to the Employer and to the Union.
(3) Check all new employees and request the Xxxxxxx’x copy of the referral slip.
(4) Handle the personal belongings and supervise the immediate care and disposition of a sick or injured employee.
(5) Be responsible for policing the jurisdiction of the Sheet Metal Industry in all shops and on all jobs.
2. The Shop Xxxxxxx shall be a working journeyman and shall not perform any supervisory duties unless authorized by the union representative.
3. With the exception of the general xxxxxxx and/or xxxxxxx, the employer agrees that the Shop Xxxxxxx will be the last journeyman on the project (shop or job) provided the ability and efficiency of the Xxxxxxx and other employees is equal. If a problem arises regarding ability and efficiency of the above-mentioned employees, it will be resolved between the employing contractor and the Union.
4. Where more than one (1) alternate person works overtime at the shop or job site and there has been a xxxxxxx from appointed, the Company's seniority listxxxxxxx shall be given the opportunity to work, if qualified.

Any Shop Xxxxxxx and/or alternate required to appear in Court or at the National Labor Relations Board, or any arbitration proceedings in any matter affecting this Agreement shall be paid only for the straight time hours he/she would have worked in any such day.
5. The xxxxxxx (or alternate) Shop Xxxxxxx shall enjoy top seniority in regard to layoff and rehiring providing he/she has the ability to do the work.
6. It shall be the Shop Xxxxxxx’x responsibility to equitably assign overtime amongst the qualified membership. Overtime will be paid by assigned in accordance with Article 5. If the Company for time spent Shop Xxxxxxx is not available then Xxxxxxx on premises for meetingsduty will assign overtime, grievances or arbitrations scheduled by and advise the CompanyShop Xxxxxxx of such overtime assigned. The Shop Xxxxxxx will be provided a desk and area to work to perform Shop Xxxxxxx duties during working hours, including the scheduling of overtime. This time provision will be included as part sunset on the expiration of the xxxxxxx'x working hours in computing weekly overtime if time falls within his/her regular schedule. There shall be no pay for time spent on Union business or in the Union's investigation of a grievance.

The powers and authority of the xxxxxxx and alternate xxxxxxx so designated by the Union Shop Xxxxxxx shall be limited confined to and shall not exceed the following duties and activities: The investigation and presentation of grievances with the Company or the designated Company representative in accordance with the provisions of the this Agreement; and The transmission of such messages and information which shall originate with, and are authorized by, the Union or its Officers provided such messages and information: Have been reduced to writing; or If not reduced to writing, are of a routine nature and do not involve work stoppages, slowdowns, refusals to handle goods, or any other interference with the Company's business. When requested by the Union or employee, the Company shall allow the presence of a xxxxxxx or alternate xxxxxxx whenever the Company meets with a Driver concerning grievance(s) or discipline or during an investigative interview, which could lead to discipline. In such case, the meeting shall not be continued until the xxxxxxx or alternate xxxxxxx is present, unless the employee rejects in writing the presence of the xxxxxxx or alternate xxxxxxx.
Section 3 The xxxxxxx and alternate xxxxxxx have 3. A Shop Xxxxxxx has no authority to take strike action or any other action interrupting the Company's Employer’s business, except as authorized by official action of the Union. No employee, Shop Xxxxxxx or group of employees shall have the right to modify or waive any provisions of this Agreement or settle any dispute with the Employer.

5. All conferences between the local Union Shop Xxxxxxx and management shall be conducted during business hours, and shall be without loss of time to the Xxxxxxx. Should a Xxxxxxx be required by management to stay past the Company for time spent on premises for meetingsend of his shift, grievances or arbitrations scheduled by the Company. This all time will be included as part of the xxxxxxx'x working hours in computing weekly overtime if considered time falls within his/her regular schedule. There shall be no pay for time spent on Union business or in the Union's investigation of a grievanceworked.
Section 5 6. The Company recognizes Shop Xxxxxxx shall enjoy top seniority in regard to layoff and rehiring providing he/she has the employee's right (including ability to do the xxxxxxx) to be given requested representation by a xxxxxxx or designated alternate at such time as work.
7. Shop Stewards may not hold the employee reasonably contemplates disciplinary action. When requested by the Union or the employee, there shall be a xxxxxxx present whenever the Company meets with an employee concerning grievances or disciplineposition of Lead Technician.

SHOP XXXXXXX. Section 1 The Company recognizes Stewards may be appointed within the right rules of the Union to designate any job or shop of the Employer. The Union agrees to recognize that the person designated as Xxxxxxx shall receive his fair share of the work that he is qualified to perform. 3. Where a Xxxxxxx has been appointed, new employees shall give the Xxxxxxx a copy of the referral slip.
4. Handle the personal belongings and supervise the immediate care and disposition of a sick or injured employee.
5. When a Xxxxxxx is to be terminated, he shall be given notice on the working day prior to the working day at the close of which he will be terminated.
6. The Xxxxxxx shall not assume any other authority than herein specified.
7. Where more than one (1) alternate xxxxxxx man works overtime on a job away from a shop and there has been a Xxxxxxx appointed, the Company's seniority list.
