Short Term Illness and Injury Plan. (a) The Employer will provide a short term illness and injury plan that entitles regular employees to a benefit of seventy-five percent (75%) of pay for a period not to exceed seven (7) months as provided for under policy number G6720 (Cooperators Life Insurance Co.), after completion of three (3) months continuous service. (b) Notwithstanding other provisions in this Collective Agreement, when an Employee is unable to work, due to illness or injury, the Employer shall pay the employee seventy-five percent (75%) of basic wage. Any benefits received by the employee from the carrier shall be remitted to the Employer.
