Common use of Short-Term Plan Benefit Clause in Contracts

Short-Term Plan Benefit. (a) In the event an employee is unable to work because of illness or injury they will be entitled to a benefit of 75% of pay, commencing on the second consecutive workday of each absence, and not to exceed six months from the date of absence (Short-Term Plan Period). In the event the Employee is hospitalized during the one day waiting period, the 75% STIIP payment will commence with the first workday of the absence for which they are hospitalized.

In the event the Employee is hospitalized during the any one day waiting period(1) calendar year, the 75first six (6) working days of absence from work due to illness or injury shall be paid at 100% STIIP payment will commence with the first workday of the absence for which they are hospitalizedpay.
