Common use of Short-Term Plan Benefit Clause in Contracts

Short-Term Plan Benefit. (a) In the event an employee is unable to work because of illness or injury they will be entitled to a benefit of 75% of pay, commencing on the second consecutive workday of each absence, and not to exceed six months from the date of absence (Short-Term Plan Period). In the event the Employee is hospitalized during the one day waiting period, the 75% STIIP payment will commence with the first workday of the absence for which they are hospitalized.
