Sick Leave Bank Benefits Waiting Period. Employees who have been employed by SMCPS for a year or more must be enrolled in the Joint Sick Leave Bank and Exchange for a period of three months prior to receiving Sick Leave Bank benefits. Employees who have been employed by SMCPS for less than a year are exempt from the three-month waiting period requirement.
