Sick Leave Conversion to Vacation Hours. An employee with a sick leave balance in excess of nine hundred and sixty hours (960) may use a portion of such excess sick leave as vacation time by converting three (3) sick leave days for each one (1) day of vacation time. An employee may convert up to a maximum of fifteen (15) such excess sick leave days per calendar year. However, such conversion shall not be permitted if payment of overtime to another employee becomes necessary as a result.
