SICK LEAVE CONVERSION UPON RETIREMENT. Sick leave shall not be used to extend a date of retirement; however, a unit member, upon retirement, may convert any unused sick leave balance to service credit as provided by Government Code Section 20862.8. (See also Article 21: Retirement.)
