Sick leave During Leave of Absence or Layoff. When an employee is given leave of absence for any reason, they shall not accumulate sick leave credits for the period of such absence but shall retain their cumulative credit. When an employee is laid off, they shall not accumulate sick leave credits for the period of such layoff but shall retain their cumulative credit for a maximum of twelve (12) months following the date of layoff.
