It is the policy of the Auditor of State to permit employees to be absent from work on a short-term basis due to personal illness, pregnancy, injury, exposure to contagious disease or to illness, injury or death in the employee’s immediate family. The purpose of this policy is to establish a consistent method of authorizing employee sick leave, eliminating inappropriate use of sick leave and outlining the discipline and corrective action for inappropriate use.
