Travel Time Pay. Notwithstanding the overtime provisions of Clauses 18.5(a) and (b), the following provisions will apply to employees travelling on the Employer’s business: When the Employer requires an employee to travel on the employer’s business the Employer will:
(a) provide the employee’s regular rate of pay for scheduled work hours, plus up to a maximum of three hours of overtime, for travel on a scheduled workday;
(b) provide the employee with paid time off of one day for each day the employee is required to travel on a scheduled rest day or paid holiday. The Employer will schedule the compensating days off in conjunction with the employee’s regular scheduled days off, or schedule in accordance with another alternative proposed by the employee and agreed to by the Employer;
(c) provide the employee’s regular rate of pay for scheduled work hours, plus up to a maximum of three hours of overtime, where an employee works and travels on the same day.
Travel Time Pay. 8.1 An Employee who is not using a company vehicle must report to the job and return to his residence without compensation for traveling expense or traveling time for travel to any job within seventy five (75) lineal miles of the Employer’s shop. If the Employer has no shop as defined in Article 1.6, then mileage will be measured from First and Broadway, San Diego California. All mileage will be computed as miles on the shortest and most direct road, street or highway beyond this area; an Employee will be compensated for traveling time and will be paid traveling expense at the prevailing IRS rate per mile, subject to notification by the Union. Both travel time and travel expenses are to be computed from the end of said seventy five (75) mile limit.
8.2 Travel time to be paid for at straight time.
8.3 In the event an Employee is required to travel in his own vehicle from one job site to another, he or she shall be paid travel expense for such travel.
Travel Time Pay. Whenever an employee is required by the Employer to change from one store to another during the same day, all time consumed by said employee in going either to or from one store to another shall be considered and paid for as part of the employee’s regular duties.
Travel Time Pay. The Employer shall provide transportation and pay for actual travel time at the regular straight time rate of pay, but in no case to exceed eight (8) hours pay in any one (1) day.
Travel Time Pay. An employee will not receive pay for the travel time on regular work days where an employee receives regular pay for eight (8) or twelve (12) hours depending on whether the employee regularly works a 12 or 8 hour schedule. Travel Time Pay. The Utility will reimburse the Responder for the actual costs it incurs for the travel time of its personnel, as follows: (A) when the Responder is traveling to the Utility, from the time the Responder’s personnel leave its home facility until such personnel arrive at the Utility’s muster or intake location; and (B) when the Responder is returning to its home facility from the Utility’s location, from the time the Responder’s personnel leave its last work or overnight accommodation location until it arrives at its home facility. If equipment breaks down during travel and the Responder requires certain of its personnel to stay with the equipment until repairs are made, the Utility will reimburse the Responder for the actual costs it incurs to pay its personnel, related to equipment repair waiting time. If the Responder is released from mutual aid assistance by the Utility, and travels to a subsequent utility to provide mutual aid, the Utility has no liability for the Responder’s costs incurred for its personnel to travel from the Utility location to the subsequent utility’s location for additional mutual aid assistance.
Travel Time Pay. Where the Employer has arranged travel time pay for employees with the contractor, travel time will be paid at the employees base rate of pay. Employees will be informed verbally when the contractor does not pay travel time. Any mileage over 40 kilometres the Employer will inform the employee that they have requested the contractor to pay travel and the Employer will confirm with the member before dispatching.
Travel Time Pay. 23.01 If, while travelling at the request of the Company, an employee is thereby deprived of a day's pay or any part thereof, he shall be compensated for the time lost up to a maximum of seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours at straight time: PROVIDED that if he travels on a day of rest assigned to him, he shall be compensated for the time so travelled, up to a maximum of seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, at an overtime rate of two (2) times the base rate. Employees who travel on their day of rest for employee discretionary training will not be eligible for travel time pay.
Travel Time Pay. Unless there is a controlling collective bargaining or other labor agreement that requires a different approach, the Requesting Entity will reimburse the Providing Entity for the actual costs it incurs for the travel time of its personnel (i.e., pay and benefits), as follows: (A) when the Providing Entity is traveling to the Requesting Entity, from the time the Providing Entity’s personnel leave its home facility until such personnel arrive at the Requesting Entity’s muster or intake location; and (B) when the Providing Entity is returning to its home facility from the Requesting Entity’s location, from the time the Providing Entity’s personnel leave its last work or overnight accommodation location until it arrives at its home facility. Travel time, referenced in the previous sentence, includes reasonable time incurred to prepare for initial travel at the Providing Entity’s shop. If equipment breaks down or is damaged during travel and the Providing Entity requires certain of its personnel to stay with the equipment until repairs are made, the Requesting Entity will reimburse the Providing Entity for the actual costs it incurs to pay its personnel, related to equipment repair waiting time. If the Providing Entity is released from mutual aid assistance by the Requesting Entity, and travels to a subsequent utility to provide mutual aid, the Requesting Entity has no liability for the Providing Entity’s costs incurred for its personnel to travel from the Requesting Entity location to the subsequent utility’s location for additional mutual aid assistance. For equipment, hourly or mileage rates will be reimbursed by the Requesting Entity, including equipment travel time (calculated on the basis of the recorded work hours of the Providing Entity’s individual person(s) to whom each piece of equipment is assigned).
Travel Time Pay. The District agrees to pay non-exempt employees for travel time in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
A. Travel Time – To/From Home and Work Normal travel to/from home and work is not considered hours worked.
B. Single-Day Travel Time spent by the employee in travel as part of his or her normal work activities – such as travel from the job site to an off-site training/seminar during regular working hours is considered hours worked. If the employee is required to travel to another city and return home the same day, the travel time to and from the other city is considered hours worked. If the employee takes a lunch break, it is not considered hours worked. If the employee uses public transportation, the travel time between the employee’s home and the point (i.e. bus station, airport, etc.) where he or she obtains this transportation is not considered hours worked. C. Travel Away From Home Overnight on a Regularly Scheduled Work Day Travel time involving a required overnight stay is considered hours worked only when it is during the employee’s regular workday. The employee is simply substituting travel for his or her regular work hours. Travel time that is outside of normal work hours is not considered hours worked.
