Common use of Sick Leave Use for Emergencies Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave Use for Emergencies. Two (2) days of sick leave may be used for a bona fide emergency which could not be foreseen by the employee at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. These days are not cumulative. If an employee’s sick leave is exhausted, the two (2) days of emergency leave may be charged against other accrued leave that may be available to the employee.
