Common use of Single Days of Vacation Protocol Clause in Contracts

Single Days of Vacation Protocol. (1) Full time employees may use a maximum of two (2) weeks (effective the 2023 vacation year the maximum shall be three (3) weeks) of their entitlement in less than full week increments. The parties agree to reconsider this maximum in December of each year to determine if administrative efficiencies would allow for that amount to be expanded. If mutual agreement exists a change will be made for the next vacation year. (2) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Collective Agreement, full time employees may choose to not schedule two (2) weeks of their vacation entitlement in order to use these days for less than full week increments. These two (2) weeks may increase depending on the decisions made in (1) above. (3) All requests for single day increments must be provided to the Store Manager at least fourteen (14) days in advance and will be approved at the Employer’s sole discretion, but will not be unreasonably denied.
