ARTICLE JOB CLASSIFICATIONS Job classifications are set out in the following departments: Plant Operations Maintenance Mine Operations Warehouse Changes or deletions to the job classificationsas set out herein require the mutual agreement of the parties. Where the Company introduces a new function or effects changes to an existing job function which significantly alters the responsibilityor complexity of the job, the appropriate pay rate shall be determined through negotiationbetweenthe parties. The changes function shall effect experience period of thirty (30) working days prior to the negotiation of the rate, in order for the parties to evaluatethe responsibility,complexity and workings of the new function The Company shall set an initial rate for the new or significantlychangedjob, which shall remainineffect during the experience period and until the parties have mutually agreed to a new rate. New rates shall be made retroactiveto the date of introductionof the new function or changes. Failing agreement on a new rate, the difference may be presented to the General Manager or his representative for resolution. Failing a satisfactory resolution at that stage, the difference may be referred to Arbitration, as per Article for final and binding settlement. In such powertodetermine the appropriate pay rate and to order the retroactive paymentof wages owing to performingthe job since its introduction.
