Casual Employee Benefits. (a) Casual employees shall be paid six percent (6%) of vacation pay, paid each pay day.

If a casual employee is currently enrolled in benefits under the CBACA Article 29.9, and wishes to continue enrolment, the receiving Health Authority will negotiate with the carrier to minimize any disruption of the coverage when terminating from the Vendor and transferring to the Health Authority.

Casual Employee Benefits. 38.01 12% in Lieu of Benefits A casual employee shall be paid at an hourly rate which is twelve percent (12%) greater than the step in the classification for which the employee is employed. This calculation allows for pay in lieu of vacation, holidays, and sick leave.

Seniority shall not accrue for a casual employee except where such an employee becomes a regular full-time or regular part-time employee and completes the applicable probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, all hours worked as a casual employee shall be credited in accordance with Article 11.1 (d).
