Sleepover Duty. (i) A registered nurse may by agreement complete a sleepover duty. The employees completing the sleepover shall remain on the premises between 11pm and 7am and will be available to work if called during this period; (ii) An employee who completes a sleep over and is not called to work shall be paid no less than the minimum wage for all the hours where the employee was on duty but not called to work; (iii) Where the employee is called to work whilst on a sleepover duty that employee shall be paid their normal hourly rate for all the time they were called to work unless that time is less than one hour; (iv) Any employee who has worked a sleepover duty shall not be rostered for duty again before 9 hours from the conclusion of the sleepover shift.
Sleepover Duty. The Employer may require, and the Employee must not unreasonably refuse, to work sleepover. An Employee is not required to sleepover outside the normal hours of duty except by mutual Agreement between the Employee and the Employer. A sleepover period must not commence before 10:00pm or extend beyond 7:00am. Where the Employer requires an Employee to sleep over in a client residential setting, the Employee must be paid a sleep over allowance. This allowance constitutes total compensation for any intermittent duty performed in connection with sleepover duty to a total of one hour’s duration: Table 51: Sleepover Duty The Employer must pay the Employee in accordance with clause 46, Section I of this Agreement (Overtime) for work performed after the first hour of recall to duty during a sleepover shift. Youth Justice Worker (YJW) grade descriptors are set at clause 20 of this Appendix. Progression within the YJW Grades 1, 2, 3 and 4 is through set progression steps. Progression within the YJW Grades 5 and 6 is through set progression amounts.
Sleepover Duty. Where an employee is required to sleep overnight on the Employer’s premises an allowance of $50.00 shall be paid in respect of each such instance in addition to any other payments. No such instance of sleepover on the Employer’s premises shall exceed eight hours, or ten where there is mutual agreement. All board and lodgings shall be provided free of charge from the Employer in respect of each such sleepover.

  • Light Duty Where the injured employee's treating physician authorized by the County recommends light-duty assignment, it will be the responsibility of the appointing authority to arrange suitable light duty. Department of Human Resources may provide staff technical assistance to find a suitable light-duty assignment, one which accommodates the particular restrictions provided by the treating physician.

  • Active Duty If an individual is inducted into military service, the District will abide by state law regarding veteran’s benefits.

  • Extra Duty A. All extra duty activities and responsibilities for which no additional compensation is paid, but which are normally considered a part of the school's program, shall be on a voluntary basis only. B. Any unit member receiving compensation for extra- duty activity shall consider time devoted to the activity as an addition to the regular duty day and shall assume his/her share of all nonteaching, non-compensated duties on an equitable basis assumed by the other faculty members within the duty day.

  • Civic Duty Whenever an employee is served with a subpoena by a court of competent jurisdiction which compels his/her presence as a witness during his/her normal working period, unless he/she is a party to the litigation or an expert witness, such employee shall be granted time off with pay in the amount of the difference between the employee's regular earnings and any amount he/she receives for such appearance. This Article is not applicable to appearances for which the employee receives compensation in excess of his/her regular earnings. A court of competent jurisdiction is defined as a court within the County in which the employee resides or if outside the county of residence, the place of appearance must be within 150 miles of the employee's residence.

  • Night Duty Employees who, as part of their regularly scheduled work shift, are required to work any hours between 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. shall receive a premium of eight and one-half percent (8.5%) per hour in addition to their straight time hourly base rate of pay for any and all hours worked between 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
