Social Justice Fund. 30.01 The Company agrees to establish a Social Justice Fund, the purpose of which is to provide financial assistance to such entities as food banks, registered Canadian charities and international relief measures to assist the innocent victims of droughts, famines and other dislocations. 30.02 Subject to the following conditions, the Company will make quarterly contributions to such a fund equal to one cent ($.01) for each straight time hour worked in a thirteen (13) week period. The Company will make these quarterly payments provided that: a) The Union incorporates the fund as a non-profit corporation under the Canada Corporations Act, and ensures that all necessary steps are taken to maintain the corporation in proper legal standing and that all requirements of the Act are met; b) The Union registers the non-profit corporation as a charity under the Income Tax Act of Canada and maintains the registration in good standing; c) The Union obtains and maintains a favourable income tax ruling from the federal department of National Revenue that all contributions which the Company makes to the non-profit corporation are tax deductible; d) The Union provides the Company with annual audited financial statements of, and summaries of, each year’s donations made by the non-profit corporation; e) The objects, by-laws and resolutions of this non-profit corporation should limit it to making the following type of financial contributions: 1. Contributions to other Canadian non-partisan charities that are registered under the Income Tax Act. 2. Contributions to non-partisan international relief efforts that are recognized by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) or any successor body that performs like functions. 3. Contributions to any Canadian or international non-partisan efforts to which other Canadian charities that are registered under the Income Tax Act are also making financial contributions. 4.
