Speedy Disposition. The number of days between each step shall be a maximum of five (5). If the appealing party does not take appropriate action within the time limit specified, the grievance will be deemed settled on the basis of the disposition at the preceding level. The five-day limit may, however, be extended by mutual consent between the parties.
