Staff Expenses: General Manager Approval. The General Manager or the Chief Financial Officer, acting as an agent of the General Manager, shall approve or reject all requests and claims for reimbursement by staff and shall report such approval/rejection to the Finance Committee at its monthly meeting. Receipts must support claims and requests as submitted to the General Manager or Chief Financial Officer or other documentation the General Manager or Chief Financial Officer deems acceptable. For each travel related expense less than $25, submission of documentation the General Manager or Chief Financial Officer deems acceptable shall be sufficient for purposes of this section. At the discretion of staff, supporting receipts for each travel related expense less than $25 may be submitted with the documentation. If a claim or request is submitted to the General Manager or Chief Financial Officer with documentation he deems inadequate, or without documentation, that claim or request shall be rejected. A claim or request initially rejected can later be submitted for approval if it is supported by adequate documentation at such later time. Requests for reimbursement must be submitted within 90 days of the date the expense was incurred. Specifically excluded from this time limit are expenses incurred for medical, dental, eye care, or other expenses that require processing by an insurance or benefit provider, or an expense where backup documentation was delayed beyond the control of the employee.   • CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDED ACTION This agreement formalizes the mechanism that may be used by the City to transfer civil rights complaints to the Iowa Civil Rights Commission for investigation. ICRC will compensate the City for acting as the intake agent under this agreement. The City and ICRC have maintained this arrangement for several years. Transferring this time- consuming investigation responsibility to the ICRC will allow the Ames Human Relations Commission more time to devote to proactive educational projects in the community. Therefore, it is the recommendation of the City Manager that the City Council adopt Alternative No. 1, as described above.

  • APPROVAL OF GENERAL COMMUNICATIONS Competitive Supplier may only communicate with Program participants and/or use the lists of Eligible Consumers/Program participants to send Department-approved education materials, opt- out notices, or other communications essential to the operation of the Program. Such lists may not be used by Competitive Supplier to market any additional products or services to Eligible Consumers or Program Participants. Competitive Supplier shall cooperate with and assist the Town in the drafting and sending of messages and information to Eligible Consumers concerning the Program or any matter arising under or related to this Agreement or the Program. Competitive Supplier shall, prior to sending any direct mail, advertising, solicitation, bill insert, electronic mail, or other similar written or electronic communication (collectively, “General Communications”) to Participating Consumers (but excluding individually drafted or tailored communications responding to a specific complaint or communication of an individual consumer), provide a copy of such General Communication to the Town for its review (for consistency with the Town’s purposes and goals) and approval. The Town shall have the right to disapprove such General Communications and suggest revisions if it finds the communication inconsistent with the purposes and goals of the Town, factually inaccurate, not essential to the operation of the program, or likely to mislead provided, however, that: (i) the communication shall be deemed approved if the Town fails to respond within ten (10) Business Days, and (ii) no approval shall be necessary for any communication (a) regarding any emergency situation involving any risk to the public health, safety or welfare; (b) that has been approved by the Department, the DOER; or (c) in the nature of routine monthly or periodic bills, or collection notices, except that any bill insert or message included at the bottom of such bill not within the scope of (a) or (b) above shall require advanced review and approval by the Town; and (iii) no approval or lack of approval shall relieve the Competitive Supplier of its obligations and responsibility for its actions and omissions under this Agreement, or other than as set forth in sub-clause ‘i’ of this Section 7.6, result in a waiver of any rights, remedies or defenses of the Town. The Town may reject or exclude any proposed General Communication that, in its reasonable judgment, is contrary to the interests and objectives of the Program or the Town.

  • INDEPENDENT BOARD COMMITTEE AND INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ADVISER The Independent Board Committee, comprising all the independent non-executive Directors, has been established to advise and give recommendation to the Independent Shareholders on the Loan Agreement and the transactions contemplated thereunder. An independent financial adviser will be appointed to advise the Independent Board Committee and the Independent Shareholders on, among other matters, the fairness and reasonableness of the Loan Agreement and the transactions contemplated thereunder.

  • Final Approval After Acceptance, Engineer shall perform any required modifications, changes, alterations, corrections, redesigns, and additional work necessary to receive Final Approval by the County. "Final Approval" in this sense shall mean formal recognition that the Engineering Services have been fully carried out.

  • Commission Approval The Parties understand and agree that this Agreement will be filed with the Commission for approval by such Commission (or the FCC if the Commission fails to act) pursuant to Section 252 of the Act. Each Party specifically reserves its right to judicial review of this Agreement under Section 252(e)(6) of the Act, or any other available remedy at law or equity. If the Commission, the FCC or any court rejects any portion of this Agreement, the Parties agree to meet and negotiate in good faith to arrive at a mutually acceptable modification of the rejected portion and any provisions that would be materially affected by deletion of the rejected portion; provided that such rejected portion shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this Agreement. The Parties acknowledge that nothing in this Agreement shall limit a Party's ability, independent of such Party's agreement to support and participate in the approval of this Agreement, to assert public policy issues relating to the Act, including challenging the validity of any portion of the Act or an FCC or Commission rule, order, Guideline or other determination made pursuant to the Act, or the application by CBT for suspension or modification of portions of the Act or rules pursuant to Section 251(f)(2) of the Act. In the event CBT obtains a suspension or modification of any portion of the Act or rules thereunder pursuant to Section 252(f)(2) of the Act, the Parties shall negotiate as necessary to incorporate the applicable terms and conditions of such suspension or modification and the Parties agree to negotiate as necessary in order to clarify the application of such suspension or modification to the terms of into this Agreement.
