Common use of Staffing and Interchange Clause in Contracts

Staffing and Interchange. There shall be no minimum or mandatory staffing requirements under this Agreement. However, staffing practices shall be in accordance with the nature of the work to be performed . Consistent with the Employer’s past practice there shall be interchangeability within and between the crafts employed hereunder. An employee assigned by the Employer to work in a classification with a higher scale wage rate for four (4) or more hours in a single day shall get the higher rate for the entire day. No employee shall be deemed to be working in such higher classification absent specific advance authorization.
