Stand-by Nurse. Registered Nurses will receive stand-by pay and holiday stand-by pay as provided in Appendix A for a 30-minute response time, provided, the Registered Nurse must be on stand-by to qualify for such pay. Registered Nurses assigned stand-by in the Acute Care Unit shall be paid stand-by pay and holiday stand-by pay for a 60 minute response time. Stand-by pay shall not be paid for hours in which the Registered Nurse has reported to work from stand-by. When a Registered Nurse is called in at any time not contiguous with the end of his/her regularly scheduled shift, such call in will be for a minimum of two hours and shall be paid at a rate of time and one- half the Registered Nurse's regular rate of pay, except as follows: Registered Nurses working OR and called in from stand-by during core hours, as defined by Section 8.3 of this Agreement, and Registered Nurses working OB and called in from stand-by, with at least eight (8) hours notice in advance of the shift for which he/she is being called, shall be paid at the regular rate of pay for the first eight (8) hours. If an OR or OB Registered Nurse is required to stand-by, in-house, by a physician, charge nurse, or nurse coordinator, the Registered Nurse will be paid at her/his regular rate of pay. If an OR or OB Registered Nurse on stand-by elects to remain in-house for her/his convenience, the Registered Nurse will be paid the stand-by rate.

  • Employees and Volunteers Insurance required of the Contractor under the Contract shall include coverage for the acts and omissions of the Contractor’s employees and volunteers. In addition, the Contractor shall ensure that all employees and volunteers who use vehicles to transport clients or deliver services have personal automobile insurance and current driver’s licenses.

  • Counseling including marriage or pre-marital counseling, religious, family, career, social adjustment, pastoral or financial counseling.

  • VOLUNTEERS AND STUDENT WORKERS The Employer will utilize volunteers and student workers only to the extent they supplement and do not supplant bargaining unit employees. Volunteers and student workers will not supervise bargaining unit employees.

  • Volunteers The use of volunteers to perform bargaining unit work, as covered by this agreement, shall not be expanded beyond the extent of existing practice as of June 1, 1986. The Hospital shall submit to the Union, at three (3) month intervals, the number of volunteers for the current month and the number of hours worked and the duties performed.

  • Employee Initiated Employee requested cancellations of scheduled vacation leave must be submitted in writing and is subject to prior approval by the Employer.

  • Employee's Personnel File A copy of formal discipline report to be entered on an employee's file will be given to the employee. The employee will be required to sign management's copy. Such signature will indicate receipt of formal reprimand only. Subject to giving the Employer advance notice, employees shall have access to their personnel file.

  • Employee Orientation Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

  • Medical Examinations An employee may be required by the Employer, at the request of and at the expense of the Employer, to take a medical examination by a physician of the employee's choice. Employees may be required to take skin tests, x-ray examination, vaccination, inoculation and other immunization (with the exception of a rubella vaccination when the employee is of the opinion that a pregnancy is possible), unless the employee's physician has advised in writing that such a procedure may have an adverse affect on the employee's health.

  • Employee Interview A new employee will have the opportunity to meet with a representative of the Union in the employ of the Hospital for a period of up to 15 minutes during the employee's orientation period without loss of regular earnings. The purpose of the meeting will be to acquaint the employee with such representative of the Union and the collective agreement. Such meetings may be arranged collectively or individually for employees by the Hospital as part of the orientation program.

  • Qualified Personnel Contractor shall utilize only competent personnel under the supervision of, and in the employment of, Contractor (or Contractor’s authorized subcontractors) to perform the Services. Contractor will comply with City’s reasonable requests regarding assignment and/or removal of personnel, but all personnel, including those assigned at City’s request, must be supervised by Contractor. Contractor shall commit adequate resources to allow timely completion within the project schedule specified in this Agreement.
