Common use of Starting Work Clause in Contracts

Starting Work. An employee who starts work and is prevented from completing his normal work day will receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at his prevailing hourly rate except when the work is suspended because of inclement weather or other reasons completely beyond the control of the Employer in which case the minimum shall be two (2) hours. The employee will also receive his full subsistence allowance if and when applicable.
