Common use of Statutory Holiday Clause in Contracts

Statutory Holiday. Should Equity Stage Management personnel be required to work on a statutory holiday, as designated by the laws of Ontario, then that Artist shall be compensated in accordance with the Employment Standards Act of Ontario. For the purposes of such calculations, compensation and premium payments shall be based upon one-forty- fourth (1/44) of the Artist’s weekly contractual fee to arrive at an hourly fee. In accordance with the Employment Standards Act, all work performed on a statutory holiday shall be paid at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the hourly fee.
