PAYMENT FOR TIME IN LIEU OF BREAKS. (a) In addition to being compensated at the prevailing contractual wage rate for the time worked in lieu of a break or rest periods, the employee shall receive an additional sum equal to the amount of lost break or rest periods to a maximum of thirty (30) minutes per shift.

Housekeeping Management must give prior approval and sign off for employees to forgo rest periods or meal breaks.

It’s Management’s obligation to confirm to the employee that the employee should take their break.
PAYMENT FOR TIME IN LIEU OF BREAKS. Should an employee, as a result of working through their breaks or meal period, that day, shall have those hours paid at the applicable overtime rate. Note: Total break time is one (1) hr twenty (20) minutes. Operator has a choice of either two (2) x thirty (30) minute and one (1) x twenty (20) minute break or four (4) x twenty (20) minute breaks.
