Overtime General. 41.1 A full-time employee who performs authorized work in excess of his/her normal work period, regular work week, work day, or shift, shall be compensated for such work at the rate of one and one-half (1½) times his/her regular hourly rate of pay. 41.1.1 Overtime shall be calculated to the nearest one-quarter (¼) hour of overtime worked, except any overtime of less than one-half (½) hour duration shall be calculated to the nearest one-half (½) hour. 41.1.2 All overtime must be authorized by the appropriate Division Head. 41.1.3 ANAHEIM will make reasonable efforts to ensure mandatory overtime is distributed in a fair and equitable manner. 41.2 Full-time employees who perform authorized work in excess of sixteen (16) consecutive hours shall be compensated at the rate of two (2) times their regular hourly rate of pay for all additional consecutive hours worked in excess of sixteen (16) in any workday or shift. 41.3 All employees who earn overtime may elect to be paid by check for any overtime worked or to be paid at the rate of one-half (½) times their regular hourly rate and accrue one (1) hour of compensatory time earned for each hour of overtime worked, subject to the following conditions: 41.3.1 Compensatory time must be so designated at the time it is earned and once designated, may not be converted to another form of overtime. 41.3.2 An employee shall have the option of accruing up to a maximum of eighty (80) hours compensatory time per fiscal year. Such compensatory time shall be paid off to a balance of forty (40) hours twice per fiscal year. Compensatory time shall be paid off on the last payday in December and on the last payday in June each fiscal year. 41.3.4 An employee who separates service for any reason or promotes out of the bargaining unit shall be paid at his/her current regular hourly rate of pay for all compensatory time accrued but not taken. 41.3.5 Requests for compensatory time off shall be reviewed and approved in accordance with ARTICLE 40.2.

When an employee is called in to work at other than his scheduled working time, he shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours at the appropriate premium rate. This minimum shall not be applicable if the overtime is contiguous with the regular working hours. § 4. Overtime of less than fifteen (15) minutes in any one day is not included in determining the total hours worked. § 5. Employees scheduled to work holidays as part of their regular work schedule shall receive one and one-half (1-1/2) times their regular hourly rate for all hours worked on those holidays. Overtime General. (1) Overtime is work performed: (a) outside the employee’s ordinary span of work hours Monday to Friday; or (b) within that ordinary span of work hours, but outside the number of ordinary hours of work the employee would work on a day (or is rostered to work on that day); or (c) on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday. (2) Subject to section 62 of the FW Act, an employee may be directed to perform overtime. (3) For overtime there must be: (a) a direction given to the employee to perform the work before the work is performed; or (b) if circumstances do not permit a direction to be given before the work is performed, subsequent written approval. (4) An employee is entitled to overtime rates unless: (a) the employee is at a classification level above the salary barrier; or (b) the employee is an AGS fee earner. (5) However, the Secretary may authorise payment of overtime rates to an employee at a classification level above the salary barrier (unless they are an AGS fee earner). (6) For the purpose of determining whether overtime begins immediately after the end of ordinary hours of work, a meal break is to be disregarded.
Overtime General. (1) When calling for overtime a xxxxxxx shall be available to verify the call. (2) If an employee is called by the Company prior to the start of their shift to come in early on that day, they will be charged the applicable overtime hours. If an employee is not reached by the Company to work overtime, the employee will be charged for the applicable overtime hours. (3) Employees who are off on S&A or modified in the middle of the week and have signed for overtime, it is your responsibility to call the absentee overtime scheduling line at (000) 000-0000 that you may not be working the overtime that you have signed for. (4) Employees on modified/restricted duties will only be eligible to work overtime if the Company schedules such work that they are capable of working during the regular work week. The Company will post if modified work is available. In no event will the Company be obligated to offer “make- up work”. Employees on modified/restricted duties who are unavailable to perform the available work due to modifications/ restrictions will be charged as a refusal if they were entitled to overtime by reason of low hours or seniority. (5) It shall be compulsory for the Company to keep a record of all overtime hours in each classification and shall be given to the Chairperson on a weekly basis. (6) Overtime hours will be calculated on a weekly basis. Overtime hours shall be calculated and charged on Monday mornings (on Tuesday morning in the event Monday is a Statutory Holiday) as part of the weekly payroll closing procedure. Employees shall carry the overtime hours totals for overtime eligibility and equalization and for that coming week. Once posted the overtime hours worked will be frozen through the current week, including the weekend (inclusive of a Friday and/or Monday Statutory holiday) for the purposes of overtime opportunity entitlement. All overtime hours worked and refused after posting will be calculated for the following week’s overtime hours worked totals. Any error or omissions noted, or overtime affecting employees currently on S&A or modified work, it is the employee’s responsibility to call the absentee control line (KelCom @ 519-971- 2848) to report that there is an error, or that you will not be working the overtime as posted. Overtime General. (a) Each employee is expected to work overtime as may be requested by the Company provided this request does not violate the Employment Standards Act of Ontario. Overtime lists shall be prominently posted on a bulletin board and shall be revised every two weeks. (b) Overtime in the Process Department (employees working 12-hour continuous shifts refer also to Appendix “D”) will be offered to the lowest possible employee in the unit or group who is able and qualified to do the work. Overtime General. The TPA retains the right to require employees to work overtime and in an emergency shall utilize the employees most readily available. Subject to the foregoing, the TPA shall distribute overtime as equitably as possible amongst the employees who normally perform the required work. If a sufficient number of employees cannot be obtained in this manner, then the TPA shall offer the overtime to qualified employees in other departments in order of seniority. If a sufficient number of employees are not obtained on this basis, the TPA shall assign the work to the most junior employee(s) who normally perform the required work, including casual employees and these employees shall be required to work.

Reasonable notice, for the purpose of this section, shall mean the employee is advised by his/her supervisor twenty-four (24) hours prior to the employee's scheduled work start-up time.
