Step I – Release of Casual, Temporary and/or Probationary Employees. In the event of anticipated position abolishment(s) the Employer will release casual, temporary and/or probationary Employees in the affected work unit to achieve the necessary position reduction(s). Exceptions are possible with written agreement between the Employer and the Union.
