Steps of the Procedure. An employee having a grievance may first discuss it with the employee's immediate supervisor and try to work out a satisfactory solution in an informal manner with the supervisor. The employee may have a representative at this discussion. If a solution to the grievance, satisfactory to the employee and the immediate supervisor is not accomplished by informal discussion, the grievant may pursue the grievance further.
